Week 6: Facebook Business Page

Define the difference between post reach and post engagement:

Post reach is one of the most important key point indicators for marketing throughout Facebook. The term "reach" is a representation of the people who have seen your content within a certain amount of time. Therefore, every post created by a business page will reach "x" amount of viewers.

Post engagement is performed when users perform actions on your business page. It can also be defined by post clicks, likes, comments, etc.  However, these different kinds of engagement are analyzed separately. Absolute engagement are the hard numbers represented while combining active and passive engagement.

Why is knowing the difference important?

It's important knowing the difference between the two, because they're both used for different purposes. Post engagement determines what a business' post reach is going to be. They are co-dependent with one another. Business' need post reach in order to build post engagement as well, therefore it all goes hand in hand. Business' need to make content a focus in order to attract new followers to continue to increase their post reach.
